3 Star hotels San Francisco |
Your price range will pretty much determine where you rest in the celestial pantheon of 1-5 star hospitality;
- 5-Star hotels can begin around $400 to $500 per night. This can vary widely with the season and will increase with surcharge fees.
- 4-Stars means charges that differ only slightly from, and can exceed, the highest rated lodgings. (The penthouse of the Fairmont, San Francisco starts at $10,000/night in this 4-Star hotel.)
- 3-Stars offer distinctly fewer amenities and some seasonal rates can be found for under $200 per night.
- 2-Stars will often still give reasonable service (even generous) for affordable rates under $100/night. Excellent hotel deals.
- 1-Star hospitality is quite variable as are prices.

Getting Around the City by the Bay: Hotels and Transportation
In spite of the fact that San Francisco is the only place I've been caught with the line, "You can't get there from here", when asking for directions... It is very easy to get around.
San Francisco has one of the best public transportation systems in the world. It's a good thing because the cost of parking is generally very expensive and can be astronomical.
The exotic 'City by the Bay' offers excellent walking excursions. With bus, cable car, trolley and ferry service it is possible to tour the city, bay and surrounding sights in a hop-on/hop-off style.
For those visiting on business there is usually some Town Car service provided by hotels in the area to make sure guests get to the Financial district every morning.
Overall, the best hotels in San Francisco have special features, offer expanded services and take extra care to supply the finest hospitality with an individual style and flair. Make sure you consider this when trying to find the right hotel to suit your needs.
